The Kenny Tencza, Jr. Memorial Fund was established in memory of our 24 year old son, Kenny Tencza. Kenny died unexpectedly after a brief illness on December 7, 2018.
Kenny was a 2012 graduate of St. Francis High School in Buffalo, New York. He went on to play at the Junior level of hockey for several years, and was currently playing at the collegiate level at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Kenny had also been a member of Team USA Junior Men’s Roller Hockey team and played internationally. Kenny began playing at the age of five, and hockey became his “world”!
Kenny is our precious son (Ken and Amy) and brother to his two sisters, Alison and Emily, and brother-in-law, Andrew. He was a part of a large extended family, as well as a huge hockey family!
Kenny was an awesome young man! He was respectful and compassionate, and had a sense of humor that brought laughter to anyone he was around. As we remember him, we are blessed by the stories told by his family and friends. He was truly loved!
We have set up the Kenny Tencza, Jr. Memorial Fund to assist with ice and roller hockey scholarships and programs on all levels. Helping students that might need financial assistance to reach their goal of being the best hockey player they can be. Kenny touched every aged hockey player and would be proud to know that his love for hockey will continue on.
